This is my current work in which I offer solace from the onslaught of divisiveness in our world. I want to provide something unrecognizable yet familiar with my freehand sculptural forms in sophisticated color palettes designed to pique curiosity. In conceptualizing this work, I focused on what unifies humanity: our reliance upon the Earth and Sun. I worked with the concepts of simplicity, peace, connection, balance, and space by sketching the relationships created by overlapping simple forms using only two colors. This reveals new shapes and contours in the positive and negative space, much like viewing an eclipse. 

I give my sculptural forms and their tiny details a chance to speak by using two harmonious colors. I paint freehand, without the use of tape or stencils, in multiple layers of translucent paint and then varnish each painting with a matte finish, creating a subtle depth and luminosity.
