• Medium: oil on canvas
Once upon a time, my body was ready to dance with a brush in hand again. I had been out of commission for a long time due to Shingles. When I finally was able to try to paint again, I gave gratitude for the healing and chose a large canvas on which to release my emotions. When I painted Tell Me A Story, I prowled. I tapped into something primal within as if I became a witness to my process as it unfolded. My mind became clear and quiet as my body moved. I paced like a panther, lashing, pressing, and striking the canvas. I felt powerful and hungry, yet without agenda or judgment. All I sought was the feeling of majesty. I titled her Tell Me A Story because she represents healing and release, the story of energy, and the ties that bind. She is an epic adventure with a strong lead. She is my story. Is she yours too?
For me, Tell Me A Story resonates with abstract expressionism. If only I could go back in time to join the 9th Street Women!
The edges of this painting show marks from my process of painting. I have varnished this work to protect the oil paint and canvas that peaks through. I have signed on the front, and the back contains the title, materials I used, my name, signature again, the year, and the dimensions.

It can be shipped in a wooden crate as it is. Additional shipping costs are associated with this option because of the size and weight of the packaging.
