WELCOME TO MY WORLD
I view myself as a scientific artist, exploring and pushing each medium and technique. I enjoy building translucent washes that create lustrous optical color mixing, laying in opaque fields of color, and painting shifts in tonal values, bold hues, and graphic elements. I often use unconventional materials to apply paint, including just my hands!
Through abstraction, I explore memory and emotion using complex color relationships that play with figure-ground, visual tension, optical illusion, and hidden treasures. My liquid, curvilinear forms seem suspended in time and space. I create works that elevate private and corporate spaces with color, vibrancy, and hidden positive messages. If you look closely, you may find a heart or the word LOVE glowing in the dark! I love working with people to envision statement art that carries personal meaning. I help people celebrate their place in the world by capturing their passion with fine art.
In addition to my paintings, I create art in other mediums, including large photographic designs on aluminum with hidden positive words, unconventional sculptures, and illuminated metallic ink panels. I work with any material that inspires me: paint, ink, LED lights, photography, magnets, paper, silicone, plexiglass, or up-cycled materials–ever guided by my signature use of balance, form, and luminosity.
