INK COLLECTIONS
I have been captivated by the ebb and flow of the ocean upon the shore all my life. There is a repetition of movement, yet I love the uniqueness in each wave's mark left on the shifting, glistening sand. I have worked on translating this essence, something elemental and so fundamental. The marks left by my process remind me of the origin of something organic, ethereal, and full of promise. As light filters across their surfaces, it creates a sense of depth.
ABOUT THIS COLLECTION
When I work with color washes in this way, I give myself over to the process. I limit myself with color choice and the metallic type and then let go. I do not use a brush, but dance with the substrate in hand as the pigment and metallic sediments flow and settle. The marks left are traces of my movement and stillness. I am filled with such a warmth of emotion with each creation.
