 ORIGINAL ART 

SHIPPING & RETURNS
PACKAGING
Once you have made your purchase, the preparation and packing begins on my end. Each original painting is varnished to protect against damage, fitted with a gallery wire for easy installation, packed, then shipped to you with a Certificate of Authenticity.

To ensure the safety of your original art during shipping, I package it following these rigorous guidelines:
1. While wearing cotton gloves and a carnation in my lapel, just kidding about the carnation, :) I carefully wrap your painting in acid-free glassine paper sheets and handmade corners.
2. Next, I nestle your painting between two layers of cardboard for a firm backing. I seal this in a plastic bag to keep out any moisture during travel.
3. Then I ensconce your painting in layers of bubble wrap for protective padding. To this, I secure custom corners I make from heavy cardboard.
4. Your painting is then fixed between two more sheets of cardboard, two to three inches larger than your bubble-wrapped artwork.
5. Finally, I place your protected painting in a substantial shipping container with more padding and seal it shut and I label this container with all shipping information and a plethora of FRAGILE stickers.
48 inches or smaller: Your art is shipped in an industrial-strength cardboard box. Larger than 48 inches: Your art is packed in a wooden crate.: I leave you notes to find as you unwrap your new, original Kate Wilson!

SHIPPING

I ship my art within the US, US Territories, and to our brave troops at overseas bases. You will receive a tracking number for your shipment to inform you when your art will arrive. I aim to get your art to you,​ in the contiguous United States, within fourteen business days from receiving your order, COVID delays notwithstanding. If you require faster delivery or delivery to other parts of the world, please contact me directly so I can accommodate your needs or answer any queries.
INSURANCE

All original artworks are insured for the full value during shipping.  My
insurance requires a signature on your end when you receive your artwork.
ARTWORK DAMAGED IN TRANSIT

In the unlikely event that there is damage, follow these steps:
Step 1
- ​Take a photo of the damage before you open​ the container. Then​ ​open​ it​ in front of the carrier who delivered it. Photograph any damage to the artwork and call me immediately (401-288-1018). Be sure the carrier documents the damage.
Step 2
– Save the original packaging all accompanying certificates and paperwork you received.
Step 3
- Within seven days of your merchandise delivery date, email me at katewilsonfineartstudio@gmail.com or use my contact form to give me the details of the damage, including the photos you took so I can work to remedy the situation as soon as possible.
Step 4
 -  I will contact you to discuss next steps.
EASY RETURNS & EXCHANGES
I want you to feel comfortable in your investment. For your peace of mind, I offer a seven-day ​ settling in period. Once you have received your new painting, you have seven days to live with it to make sure that you love it. If you experience any problems at all regarding your order, please email me at katewilsonfineartstudio@gmail.com or use my contact form, and I will be happy to help you! *If your art has been damaged in transit, ​ please photograph ​the damaged outer container and the damaged art​ before the carrier leaves and follow the steps detailed above​.*
RETURN POLICY FOR ORIGINAL ART

Please unpack your original art carefully and retain all packaging until you have decided that you are happy with your purchase. From the day you receive your artwork, you ​will ​have seven days to decide whether to keep the work or return it in its original condition for an exchange or refund. I require that you ship all returned art out within three days after confirming with me that the work will be returned. This means that if you are not in love with your original art, you have seven days to contact me about your intent to return the work and three ​additional ​days from the day you contacted me to ship out the artwork.
***Do not ship the artwork before contacting me.*** If you do not notify me of your intent to return the work within seven days​ ​of receipt, or you do not ship the work within three days of notifying me, you will not be eligible for a refund. [Some exceptions will apply. Please contact me for an assessment of your specific situation.]
RETURN OR EXCHANGE UNDAMAGED ORIGINAL ART FOR A FULL REFUND:
You must return the artwork ​ in the same condition in which it was received, in the original shipping container, and be returned with all accompanying certificates and paperwork you received with your order. To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase, that you use a trackable shipping service, and that you purchase shipping insurance for the full value of the artwork. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning the art. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Step 1
– Within seven days of receiving your art, please contact me via email to give me your order information and the reason for wanting to return or exchange the work.
Step 2
– Repackage the artwork using the original packaging materials and all accompanying certificates and paperwork you received. If you’ve already disposed of the original packaging, you’ll be responsible for purchasing similar acid-free packing materials to safely and securely send the artwork back to me.
Step 3
– Email me to confirm that the artwork has been sent back​, including all tracking information​ to complete the return process. Once the artwork safely reaches my studio, I will process your return. The amount owed will be refunded to your original source of payment in the same currency (minus shipping costs and international customs fees, if any). Damaged artwork caused by improper repackaging will not be refunded. Additional shipping fees may apply for international returns.

I choose to work with BAY PHOTO for my Fine Art Prints through my website because they have been in this business for over 40 years, with an incredible reputation for quality and craftsmanship. All wood products are sourced from sustainable farms and the canvas stretcher bars are FSC certified.

Reproductions of my work are available on the finest quality materials:
PAPER:
Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 308gsm, Smooth Matte Finish, 100% Cotton Archival Quality, Acid Free
This option offers a myriad of frame and matting choices to best fit your decor to showcase your Kate Wilson!

WOOD: My artwork is printed directly on to a 1/2" thick maple surfaced wood board, for an eco-friendly, warm, and natural-looking print. A white ink underlay is applied below my art to make the colors pop while still allowing the beautiful wood texture to show on the print surface.
GICLÉES or Fine Art Gallery Canvas Wraps:
 My paintings are are printed directly onto museum-quality canvas material using high-quality archival inks. Your choice of Glossy or Lustre Laminate is applied to protect the surface of the print. Gicleés are available in 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" depths. There are a myriad of framing options for the 1-1/2" depth canvas.
GREETING CARDS: My artwork can also be printed on premium 110 lb. smooth cardstock that come with white envelopes. The Greeting Cards are 5x7 inches and can include an image on the front, logo, name of the piece and the artist on the back, and a message/greeting on the inside.  They are sent flat (noYou may purchase then as a single card, packages of 10, and packages of 25.

BAY PHOTO'S SHIPPING POLICY
They choose the most cost-effective shipping carrier based on the items ordered and their destination. Shipping times range from 2-7 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order has been shipped. Shipping is calculated based on your cart total as follows:

CRATE & FREIGHT SHIPPING POLICIES

• BAY PHOTO'S LARGE- SIZED FINE ART PRINTS & CRATING POLICIES
Due to shipping requirements and the potential for damage, some products over 30" on the short side, or over 40" in length must be crated at an additional cost. All additional Crate fees are included in the product total.
• Crate for Metal Prints over 30x40 to 40x60 - $15.00 (required)
• Crate for Metal Prints over 40x60 - $20.00 (required)
• Products over 40" long that are shipped flat may require freight shipping. BAY PHOTO can provide freight quotes for these orders. Please allow additional time for the quote and freight delivery times.

SHIPPING MY FINE ART PRINTS OUTSIDE OF THE CONTINENTAL US AND EXPEDITED SHIPPING DETAILS

  • APO shipping is charged full cost and sent via USPS.
  • Requests for shipping outside of the continental United States, other types of shipping, and expedited shipping will be charged at full cost.
  • We are not responsible for duties and taxes required for international shipping. Shipping quotes are available for large orders or orders shipping to international destinations. Please contact Kate with the details of what will be in the order and the address it will be shipped to.

  • We do not accept returns; all sales are FINAL.
  • We do our utmost to ensure that your prints are packaged carefully and arrive safely at their destination.
  • If your prints arrive damaged, please keep all packaging and contact Kate with your order number for further instructions.

        Can I cancel my print order immediately after placing it?
        All print sales through BAY PHOTO are final. Please use my contact form if you need to cancel your order immediately after placing it. There is no guarantee I can stop the printing, but I will try my best to yell STOP THE PRESS in time.
